System Requirements

If you are using iTunes 7 you will need to update to beaTunes 1.0.5 or later.

Mac

beaTunes currently only runs on G4/G5 or Intel Macs with at least 1GB RAM and Mac OS X >= 10.4.10, iTunes >= 7.3.2 and Java™ 5.0 >= Release 6 installed. To make sure that you have the latest Java version installed, please run the Apple software updater (Apple menu -> Software Update). If you have trouble determining whether your system meets the requirements, please check the Installation FAQs.

Please be advised, that while beaTunes runs on G4/G5 processors, it runs a lot better on Intel Macs.

Windows

The current version of beaTunes for Windows only runs on machines with at least a 1GHz Pentium 4, 1GB RAM and Windows 2000/XP/Vista, iTunes >= 7.3.2 and Java™ 6.0 >= Update 2 (1.6.0_02) installed. You can download the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from Sun.

Internet

beaTunes makes use of Amazon's™ and MusicIP's™ web service offerings and therefore works better with a fast, always on Internet connection.

Installation

Mac

Download the file ending with osx.dmg below and open it. Review the files README.txt and NOTES.txt. Then drag the file called beaTunes.app into your Applications folder. If you are updating from a previous version, just replace the old application. Updates from version 1.w.x to 1.y.z are free. To launch beaTunes, double-click it.

You can try the Mac version of beaTunes for free for two weeks. After this trial period is over, you will need to purchase a license to use beaTunes.

Windows

Download the file below ending with win.exe and open it. If you are updating from a previous version, just replace the old application. beaTunes will be installed in the start menu's programs folder under the company name tagtraum industries.

You can try the Windows version of beaTunes for free for two weeks. After this trial period is over, you will need to purchase a license to use beaTunes.
