Earn a beaTunes license!

To improve the scientific basis for the beaTunes tempo detection, I would like to verify tempo annotations for the GiantSteps tempo dataset, a collection of electronic dance music (EDM) tracks. Unfortunately, I can't do it alone.

I need volunteers like you to tap along to some of the dataset's tracks and record the taps. This will allow me to verify the original annotations.

Every submission is valuable.

Even if you just tap along to 5 songs. But to make it worth your while, I am offering a free beaTunes 5 license to anyone who submits 110 valid track annotations. This will take 45-60 minutes.

Tapping must happen manually via this webpage using no additional means. All submissions will be checked against reference values in order to remove bogus data. Submissions with reasonably high accuracy qualify for a reward license. Note, that this is a limited-time offer.

Last but not least, to create and send a license to you, I need your name and email address. If you don't care about the license and just want to help, feel free to enter a fantasy name and address.
